Digital Arts Studio: Intro to 3D Modeling Digital Art Camp
Our Digital Arts Studio programs will be led and taught by artists who are skilled in both traditional techniques and digital tools. We’ll kick things off with a summer camp in 3D modeling using Blender, a free 3D computer graphics platform for creating 3D models, interactive 3D applications, animation, and so much more. Take a break from coding in our Digital Arts Studio camps. We’ll use digital tools that empower and unleash your young artist’s creative and maker instincts through step by step guidance. Digital arts are fun, just for art’s sake. As a growing part of movie making, video games, and architecture industries, it's important for your budding creative technologist to grasp the basics. Our mission is to keep it fun while teaching skills and nurturing our students’ imagination and enthusiasm for learning.
Students will learn the basics of Blender and how to create simple 3D shapes. From there, they’ll learn to combine those shapes to create trees, snow people, add color and depth, and then move on to more complex designs like a house or pizza. No coding is involved.
